PARIS FASHION WEEK 2025 MENSWEAR HIGHLIGHT
Day 6!
Taakk
Under the visionary guidance of Takuya Morikawa, TAAKK has once again pushed the envelope of fabric experimentation, intertwining the eclectic and the avant-garde to create pieces that speak not just to the eye but ignite the imagination.
The most exciting thing about this collection is the amazing way they’ve combined wool and denim! It’s something completely new and unexpected. They’ve carefully put together wool in different styles, like plain and herringbone, with denim and even leopard print!
This unique blend of fabrics challenges our usual ideas about what goes together. It’s meant to make us feel a little surprised and excited, encouraging us to embrace these unexpected textures and enjoy the exciting visual story they tell.
The brand is always trying to reinvent men’s fashion. For example, they take a sparkly tweed jacket and turn it into a sporty jacket made from polyethene (a type of plastic). It’s a playful way to show how they can combine different materials in unexpected ways.
Every piece in the collection blends materials and design in interesting ways. It’s like a fun game where they put familiar things in surprising places, just like in surrealist art. This creates a feeling of delightful surprise and makes you look at fashion in a whole new way.
Jacquemus
“La Croisière,” a curated collection that blends past and present through the lens of contemporary fashion, was presented by Jacquemus at Paris Fashion week fall 2025. This collection brings back the stylish looks of the mid-20th century, but with a fresh, modern feel! You’ll find beautiful hourglass dresses, made from crisp cotton poplin, and elegant jackets with unique shapes. There are also flowing tulle skirts that remind you of the past, but they’re still easy to wear every day.
The clothes are made from lovely fabrics like light and airy organza, soft and stretchy knits, and fun prints like animal stripes and playful bananas. These details give the collection a sophisticated yet playful vibe.
You’ll also find hand-painted stripes and unique polka dots, showing that the brand really cares about making clothes with special attention to detail and craftsmanship.”
We want to call this collection “A Love Letter from Jacquemus.”
Wooyoungmi
Starting with the notion that dressing well is a mark of courtesy to others and inspired by a rite-of-passage for young Korean men, buying their first suit — often from her lineup — Woo Young Mi delivered a polished, elevated collection. Removable appliqué 3D blossoms became the highlight of the show.
